I don't have high voltage DC supply,I use many dry batteries in series instead of DC supply.
This is upper side view.This structure is easy to construct.The motor to drive the nipkow disk is the kind of
sewing machine's motor working on AC 100V which is Japanese main line voltage.Since this motor is Universal motor,
It can be drive on DC current.It can get at sewing machine shop ,in my case,price of used motor was 2000Japanese yen(about $20).

Some sort of bond make the plastic optical fiber weak.
After cutting the nipkow disk, and make the holes to the disk ,Install the optical fiber to the disk.

This is an optical fiber used my television. The diameter of this optical fiber is 0.8mm.
This is decided by the diameter of the nipkowdisk,the number of scanning holes and aspect ratio of image area.
It is easy to cut circular shape with scissors because the diameter of nipkow disk is rather large.

Feature of the optical fiber television
 -- Good point --
1. High brightness
2. High efficiency of light
3. Good principle model of television
  Please imagine electron lay inside of CRT instead of optical fiber....this works as same principle as CRT.
4. Mechanical television camera works as mechanical television TV(Two way use)
  It is interesting point.LED works as Photo diode.
5. Preparing two optical television,and connect two television by optical fiber,we can experiment optical fiber connected colour television.
  I tried to this experiment.of course it was "Colour television".but since it has no amplifier,it's low sensitivity need need strong light.
6. To stick top of optical fiber out of the nipkow disk . reproduce image on the disk surface is look like floating.
  When making nipkow disk, I noticed about this feature.
7. Light source is put on disk axis and light from LED illuminate optical fiber's top directly,we can see many image at the same time.
  In the case of normal mechanical television,image size depends on the area of light source put on back side of nipkow disk. fiber television have no such limitation.
8. Crystal television
  Under strong electromagnetic field(near the broadcast antenna),it can realize the crystal television like as "crystal radio".
9. Change scanning direction form vertical to horizon.
Since put light source near rotation axis,changing the position of light source(LED),change the reproduction position easily.
 
 -- weak point --
1. Wind loss is larger than normal nipkow disk.but low rotation rate(12.5 rps) will be no problem.
2. Weak(it is difficult to repair nipkow disk for optical fiber television)
3. Under higher rotation rate, vibration of the disk became larger and larger.
4. Making nipkow disk for optical fiber television requires much time and labor than normal disk.
Today, Optical fiber is cheap and easy to get .The idea of optical fiber television is easy to think in mind,but I never see those mechanical television which use optical fiber.
This optical fiber television use Plastic optical fiber and only one white LED insted of holes of Nipkow disk and LED arrayed light source behind of the Nipkow disk. But optical fiber is difficult to obtain in the rural area of Japan and a little expensive. It may use fishing line in order to the plastic optical fiber.
